Humanitarian Relief Measures by the Srilankan Government!

One more of the many shocking evidences exposing the brutality of the Soliders towards Tamilians in Srilanka. Does the term "Justice" prevails in reality or it is just another word in the dictionary.

Neeraj first day at school

My favourite NEERAJ started to attend school on 25th June. He joined the PLAYGROUP at BERIS KINTERGARDEN, YEW TEE. I was told by chitra that he was absolutely comfortable on the first day and just got into the classroom and started playing with the toys. Following two days he was on MC !! A bit of fever and hence couldnt attend classes but was back from Thursday onwards.

I was told that he is tallest kid in his class. To me he was always a baby and couldnt believe when his principal says that he is more involved inthe class activities and very excited with his new friends ! Pray and Wish Him that he reaches greatest heights in his life.

On 2nd of June Sharad invited us for a dinner at Makaan Mumbai near Raffles Place. It was cool place and has different mumbai varities. In the picture below is Myself, Sharad, Charles and Naveen. Naveen, Sharad and Myself belong to same wing at Yokogawa.

Bought a surfing car for the kids. They were quite happy and they love it so much. In fact i also like to surf on this car! Some moments makes us forget our worries and takes us back in time, to those good old days that we enjoyed in the comfort of our parents.

Last week Murali and his family shifted to Japan. They packed all thier belongings and left to Japan. Murali had a good offer at Japan. They were at our home for a dinner on last sunday. He has two kids Harshini and Rithan. We had a good time at home.

Birthday ! Used to be a magic word that would make me spin like a whirl wind and is no more ! Things have changed. Not exactly, The way that i see things have changed completely nowadays - This would be more appropriate. As we grow older, our mind gets more matured and starts to evaluate things based on many aspects and guess what, most of the time it dumps them with a conclusion that these are not necessary !!! Not many would like it, even me ! but its a fact that no one could deny.
Things went very smooth today. I got a fantastic greeting card from my mom two days back. She has mentioned that i am the best son that a mother could have ! I offered prayers to my dad and god this morning and seeked thier blessings to me and my family. Went to NUS, to collect some supporting documents from Central Library for my current research work at Yokogawa. My sister VIJI and her kids PRIYANKA , NIVEDHITA called me and wished me good luck. Had a good food at NUS canteen - pepper rice, vada, kesari, Keerai Poriyal, nookal kootu and Carrot thokku !! That was quite a heavy lunch. Then went to my office inthe noon. Had few preparatory works for next week TECH FAIR and USER CONFERENCE at our new office building. MM Lee would be dedicating the new 12storey building on behalf of Yokogawa on 3rd July next week. Things are quite hectic these days.

Tornado in Singapore !

On 25th at Changi Airport, i witnessed for the first time in my life the phenomenon, Tornado, which i thought is common in America's. I was on my way back from Thailand and was approaching the customs check at Changi Airport Terminal 2 when i noticed people gathered in large numbers and gazing outside through the glass window panels. First my thought was that, there is something wrong with one of those planes parked outside. But i didnt find anything abnormal until i saw this...

"Should i take a taxi to home now or wait ?" was the only question that flashed in my mind. I quickly grabbed my camera and took these pictures. Further the fear of something worse to follow these really troubled me a lot.

Initially i thought that these are tornados until i heard in the news that they are not tornados but are Water Spouts. It has appread in the east coast sea. The ministry said these are common in singapore and occurs once or twice in a year. Hopefully things stops here and dosent worsen further !!

As things gain pace .....

Seems like it has become an habit to skip updating the blog since i joined Yokogawa. It neither carries any wrong message about my previous stop, Nanyang Polytechnic nor does it carry any unusual and strange message at my new stop, Yokogawa. Rather i am trying to get along with my new responsibilities and roles by burning extra gas!

To let u know about the team, Business Solution Development (BSD) at Singapore Development Centre of Yokogawa.... My boss Mr.Joseph Lee (Singaporean) is very understanding person. Then we have three executives, Mr.Sharad(Singaporean), Mr.Naveen(Indian) and me. We have a senior engineer Ms.Emileen (from Venezuela) and the rest are Developers (1 from China, 3 from India, 1 from Indonesia and 1 singaporean).

(Myself. Mr.Jasbir Sing, Mr.Kumar, Emelin and others from Yokogawa, Singapore at Saraburi Inn, Saraburi)

Well things are fine so far and had quite few sharing sessions. Last week i was visiting one of our customers, Thai Acrylic Fibre (TFA) located at Saraburi, Thailand. I was there since monday (21st May) until friday the 27th May. I am into developing some diagnostic tools for some unit operations and went there to collect data for my research and development. Myself and Emelin represented SGDC and there were two other gentlemen from SVO team of Yokogawa. We had a nice stay at Saraburi Inn, Saraburi. Mr.Jasbir Singh (GM -E&I, TAF) and Mr.Kumar (Mgr-Textile,TAF) took care of us during our stay. Mr.Singh was very keen in preparing some tools for TAF through us. He is very energetic and readily participated in all the sharing sessions during our stay. Mr.Kumar on the other hand is very reserved but equally willing to support us during our stay. Unfortunately few problems in the plant, during our stay, kept him focused on the resolving issues and hence could'nt mingle with us.

We enjoyed shopping at LOTUS hypermarket, Thai food at the company guest house, Saraburi Restaurant, Hospitality of Thai people. That was a great experience. The garments price were really very cheap. Also got a chance to talk to one of my good old friend, Balaji (Mgr-Aditya Birla Company, Rayon). We spend thursday evening together at the Saraburi Inn. It was a nice chance to talk about personal things apart from normal plant details. The Swarnabhubi Airport, Thailand, is really a classic one. Very good architecture but poor maintenance. I had taken some pictures inside the airport.
