A Refreshing Day at Singapore Botanical Gardens
Yes it was indeed a refreshing day (24th Nov'06) for the entire family. Chitra was free from the daily cooking and house keeping activities, Tejas and Neeraj get a chance to explore the nature after a long time (True indeed... where got chance to appreciate nature's beauty in Singapore?) and for me, a good opportunity to have real fun with the family after a very long time....... (norm in singapore !!) We almost spend the entire day in the gardens. It was a cool and pleasant day with some showers in the late afternoon. We didnt feel the tiredness after walking for the whole day. Though cannot name most of the orchids and plants, managed to still have a good conversation with Tejas and Neeraj. They had good time playing in the morning, a sound nap in the afternoon and a pleasant evening........Warning - Phishing mails in your inbox

Hats-off Mr.MP
Two days ago i planned to meet the Memeber of Parliment of my town council. I managed to get the information about the session from one of my friend, living in my block. As adviced by him, i was there quiet early in the evening, yesterday. After few formalities and a session with the grass root supporters, i managed to meet the MP. That was the first time i am meeting such a high profile person, specially from the politics, in my life. But the best part is that, Mr.Yeo Cheow Tong made me feel easy and provided me with a rememberable evening.
In the night, my wife was quiet curious about the formalities and the session. The reason is that we were trying to compare a similar scenario back in my country, INDIA. My friends from India would definitely agree with my following observations. Meeting an MP is an himalayan task ! probably considered that you are lucky if you ever had a meeting with an MP of your own constituency. Also the security level may not allow you to talk with such a high profile man for a long time. But down here in singapore, it is so easy to plan to meet your MP and put up your requests and problems to him. I am not magnifying incidents as well as not interested in criticising others. THERE SEEMS TO BE ALWAYS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYONE TO LEARN FROM EVERYONE ELSE AND CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN AN EFFICIENT AND PROGRESSIVE MANNER.
HOCKEY CHAMPIONS !
Quiet long time since i blogged !!! I have listed few items to share today. The first on my priority list is obviously the recent Inter Statutory Board Games (ISBG) games held at NYP. We were the HOCKEY CHAMPIONS again. We won last year as well. Another 5 more government organisations participated in this hockey match. The nightmare was that there were not enough players and hence couldnt have a substitute right from the qualifying round. Everyone in our team played in all the matches and was almost exhausted for the final game ! The very sense of winning the event game me the sufficient boost to drag myself until to my home. Need to spend the weekend lying on the bed. Muscle stiffness in my buttox, thigh muscles and those wounds on both my knees! ( unable to balance myself on the wet pitch while drebbling made to fall on the ground )
